Code & Co. conducted Tech & Product Due Diligence for GSG Genii Software Group, a portfolio company of funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital (“BU”), on its investment in PLANAT GmbH, a leading independent provider of discrete manufacturing ERP software in Germany.
GSG Genii Software Group (“GENII”) has acquired PLANAT GmbH (“PLANAT”), one of the largest independent vendors of manufacturing ERP software in Germany. Founded in Stuttgart in 1981, PLANAT’s discrete manufacturing capabilities further build GENII’s manufacturing expertise, where it already has a leading position in process manufacturing through its GUS ERP business. It also strengthens the market presence for discrete manufacturing in DACH where GENII already has a footprint via its Netherlands-based Isah ERP portfolio company.
Scope of work
Code & Co. performed a comprehensive audit of PLANAT’s software suite, covering its technical architecture, infrastructure, technology stack, and cybersecurity framework. Additionally, Code & Co. conducted a thorough assessment of Planat’s ERP software, its customer integration approach, and its strategic development roadmap.
Lastly, PLANAT’s team structure and engineering practices, highlighting the software development lifecycle, modernization initiatives, and recruitment strategies were examined.
